Timothy Weah

Timothy Tarpeh Weah is a professional soccer player recognized for his pace, technical skill, and tactical versatility in European soccer. A winger and wingback, Weah has contributed to clubs and the U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) in multiple attacking and wide roles. He is the son of former FIFA World Player of the Year George Weah and chose to represent the United States, where he developed as a soccer player, rather than Liberia, where his father served as president.

Weah began his professional career at Paris Saint-Germain, joining the PSG Academy at age 14. He won Ligue 1 twice and the Trophee des Champions before moving to Celtic on a six-month loan, where he won the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup. At Lille, Weah played a key role in the club's Ligue 1 title and Trophee des Champions win. He later joined Juventus, adding a Coppa Italia title to his achievements, before moving to Marseille on loan. With his goal for Juventus in Serie A, Weah became the 13th USMNT player to score in more than one of the top five European leagues and the first to do so in both Ligue 1 and Serie A.

Internationally, Weah made his USMNT debut as a substitute against Paraguay, becoming the first player born in 2000 to represent the senior national team. He scored his first international goal in his second appearance, in a 3-0 win over Bolivia, becoming the fifth-youngest goalscorer in USMNT history. Weah scored the USMNT's first World Cup goal in eight years, netting against Wales in a 1-1 draw at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He has also won three CONCACAF Nations League titles with the USMNT.

Weah has played as right winger, left winger, left wingback, and right back for both club and country, demonstrating his adaptability in top-tier soccer. Off the field, Weah supports educational initiatives in Liberia, launching a scholarship fund and donating sports equipment to communities such as West Point. Weah continues to be a significant figure in American soccer, contributing to both his clubs and the national team.
