Tim Ream

Tim Ream is a professional soccer player known for his contributions as a defender in both Major League Soccer and international competition. Ream plays as a center-back or left-back for Charlotte FC and serves as captain of the United States men's national soccer team. He attended Saint Louis University, where he earned NSCAA first-team All-Region and second-team All-Conference honors while studying finance and economics.

Ream was drafted by the New York Red Bulls in the second round (18th overall) of the MLS SuperDraft, starting all 30 matches as a rookie and earning the club's Defender of the Year award. His performances in Major League Soccer led to a transfer to Bolton Wanderers, where he was named Player of the Year in consecutive seasons and made 126 appearances. Ream then joined Fulham FC, amassing 312 appearances over nine seasons and contributing to three Premier League promotions. He was recognized as Fulham's Player of the Season by fans following the club's promotion campaign and is among a select group of players to have achieved three Premier League promotions with Fulham.

Ream made his debut for the United States men's national team in a 1-0 win against South Africa in the Nelson Mandela Challenge Cup. Over his international career, he has become one of the most capped defenders in the program's history. Ream was selected for the FIFA World Cup roster at age 35, playing every minute in all four matches and helping the team record two shutouts. He also played the full 90 minutes in the Nations League Final victory over Mexico and was named the oldest field player ever selected to a USMNT Copa America roster, starting all three group-stage matches.

Ream has served as captain of the national team 26 times, ranking eighth all-time in squad history. He returned to Major League Soccer with Charlotte FC, anchoring the backline and contributing to the team's improvement in the Eastern Conference standings. Ream also captained the United States during the Gold Cup, starting all matches and leading the team to the final. His career reflects consistency, professionalism, and leadership in American soccer.
