Tim Pulliam Biography
Tim Pulliam is an Emmy-nominated, award-winning television journalist with more than 15 years of experience covering breaking news, politics, race, culture, major weather events and crime. He reports for KABC/ABC7 in Los Angeles, the No. 2 TV market in the country, after spending several years as a reporter and anchor at WTVD/ABC11 in Raleigh-Durham, NC. Pulliam also serves as a fill-in correspondent for ABC News, with his reporting airing on affiliate stations nationwide.
Recognized for journalism excellence, Pulliam has received multiple honors from the National Association of Black Journalists, the Associated Press and the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas. His reporting has contributed to a Peabody Award, appeared in an HBO documentary, and earned recognition from the City of Los Angeles. A Winston-Salem State University graduate with a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University, he also teaches journalism as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
