Tiffany Cross

Tiffany D. Cross is a journalist, bestselling author, and political analyst whose two-decade career has established her as a prominent voice at the intersection of race, media, and American democracy. A fellow of Harvard University Kennedy School's Institute of Politics, Cross has spent more than 20 years working in politics, media, labor, communities of color, and the private sector. She studied mass communications with an emphasis on radio, television, and film at Clark Atlanta University before building a career that took her from local Atlanta newsrooms to the national stage.

Cross's career in media includes roles as an on-air political analyst and cable news veteran, having served as the D.C. bureau chief for BET Networks, associate producer for CNN, and freelance field producer. She also served as the D.C. bureau chief of BET News and liaison to the Obama administration for BET Networks, where she covered Capitol Hill, produced political specials, and oversaw daily news operations. Cross co-founded The Beat DC, a national platform that intersected politics, policy, business, media, and communities of color, which was widely read by elected officials, CEOs, opinion leaders, and media influencers.

She was the host of "The Cross Connection," a Saturday morning MSNBC show, where she averaged 4.6 million viewers a month. Her tenure at the network established her reputation as a direct commentator on race and politics. Cross authored the book "Say It Louder: Black Voters, White Narratives, and Saving Our Democracy." The book received positive reviews from The New York Times Book Review, Publishers Weekly, and Kirkus Reviews.

Cross has expanded her platform across multiple media formats. She is the co-host of the NAACP Image Award-winning podcast "Native Land Pod" and host of "ACross Generations." "Native Land Pod" debuted on Apple as the number one downloaded podcast in America across all categories, while "ACross Generations"—produced with Will Packer Productions and iHeart Media—focuses on a variety of topics from a multigenerational perspective. Cross is also the author of "Love Me Black," which explores the experiences of Black women today and highlights stories of accomplishment and endurance.

As a keynote speaker, Cross addresses live audiences with insights drawn from decades of broadcast journalism.
