Founded in 1989, The Wallflowers, a rock solo project spearheaded by the multi-talented singer-songwriter Jakob Dylan, has a rich history in the music industry. Known for their evocative lyrics that explore themes such as nostalgia, heartache, purpose, and insecurities, the band has made a significant impact on the rock music scene. They first gained attention performing at notable Los Angeles clubs such as the Whisky a Go Go, Gazzarri's, and the Viper Room, under the name The Apples before changing to The Wallflowers. Their debut album, "The Wallflowers," released on August 25, 1992, received positive reviews, including a 4-star rating from Rolling Stone, praising Dylan's songwriting.

The Wallflowers' career took a significant leap with the release of their album "Bringing Down the Horse," which achieved Gold, Platinum, Double-Platinum, Triple-Platinum, and Quadruple-Platinum status between 1996 and 1997. The band's song "One Headlight" from the album won two Grammy Awards for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Rock Song. It was also named the Greatest of All Time Adult Alternative Song by Billboard. The Wallflowers continued to make waves in the music industry with their album "Exit Wounds," released on July 9, 2021, which debuted at #3 on Billboard's Top Album Sales Chart, marking the band's highest position on a Billboard album chart.

The Wallflowers have been consistent in their contribution to the music industry, releasing albums like "Rebel, Sweetheart" and performing at significant events like the Tibetan Freedom Concert and the Bridge School Benefit. They have also been featured on soundtracks for popular films such as "Zoolander," "I Am Sam," and "American Wedding" and have performed for returning troops on the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier. Known for their dynamic performances, The Wallflowers have shared the stage with notable artists such as Eric Clapton and were set to tour with Matchbox Twenty in 2020.
