The Revivalists

The Revivalists are a pioneering eight‑piece rock collective that emerged from New Orleans in 2007. Founded when guitarist Zack Feinberg met vocalist David Shaw during local jam sessions—and were soon joined by drummer Andrew Campanelli, bassist George Gekas, Ed Williams (pedal steel/guitar), Rob Ingraham (saxophone), Michael Girardot (keys/trumpet), and later PJ Howard (drums/percussion)—they cultivated a sound that fuses alternative rock with Southern soul, funk, roots, and R&B, deeply rooted in the Crescent City’s musical tapestry.

After self-releasing Vital Signs (2010) and the independently produced City of Sound (2014), the band broke through with their third record, Men Amongst Mountains (2015). It featured the single “Wish I Knew You,” which dominated Billboard’s Adult Alternative and Alternative charts, earned double-platinum status, and earned them critical acclaim—including Rolling Stone’s “10 Bands You Need to Know” and widespread commercial success.

On 2018’s Take Good Care, they continued their ascent—“All My Friends” and “Change” both topped Triple A charts—and leaned into their soulful roots and live energy, collaborating with major producers like Dave Cobb and Andrew Dawson. In 2023, they released Pour It Out Into the Night, anchored by the uplifting single “Kid,” which showcased a renewed introspection and gratitude following the pandemic pause.

Known for epic live performances—often four‑hour sets filled with audience call‑and‑response, improvisation, and an unmistakable New Orleans vibe—the Revivalists have amassed over 800 million streams, sold-out venues nationwide, and shared stages with the Rolling Stones while headlining festivals like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, and Jazz Fest.

Offstage, they channel their community spirit through Rev Causes, a philanthropic arm funding initiatives in mental health, environmental justice, education, anti‑gun violence, and more.
