The Avett Brothers

The Avett Brothers, an American folk rock band from Concord, North Carolina, have been active since 2000. The band consists of Scott Avett, Seth Avett, Bob Crawford, and Joe Kwon, with additional touring members Mike Marsh, Tania Elizabeth, and Bonnie Avett-Rini. The eclectic blend of their music style incorporates elements from bluegrass, country, punk, pop melodies, folk, rock and roll, indie rock, honky tonk, and ragtime. After making their national television debut on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" in 2007, they have released a stream of successful albums such as "Country Was," "A Carolina Jubilee," "Mignonette," "Four Thieves Gone," and "Emotionalism."

The Avett Brothers' career has been marked by various notable achievements. In 2007, they won the Americana Music Association's awards for Duo/Group of the Year and New/Emerging Artist of the Year. Their album "I and Love and You," which was released in 2009, reached number 16 on the Billboard 200. Other popular albums include "The Carpenter" and "True Sadness," both of which were nominated for the Grammy for Best Americana Album. The band's story was featured in a 2018 HBO documentary titled "May It Last: A Portrait of the Avett Brothers," which premiered at the 2017 South by Southwest film festival.
