Taylor Jenkins

Taylor Jenkins is an NBA coach recognized for his basketball strategy and player development expertise. Jenkins graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in economics, concentrating in management and minoring in psychology. He began his coaching career as an assistant with the San Antonio Spurs' NBA Development League affiliate, the Austin Toros, contributing to a D-League championship before becoming head coach and leading the team to the playoffs.

Jenkins served as a key assistant under Mike Budenholzer with the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. During five seasons in Atlanta, the Hawks reached four consecutive playoff appearances, including a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals, and developed four starters into NBA All-Stars. Jenkins then joined the Bucks, helping the team achieve a 60-22 regular season record and an Eastern Conference Finals appearance, and served as an assistant coach for Team Giannis in the NBA All-Star Game.

Jenkins was hired as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies, where he guided the team from the lottery to the playoffs, achieving multiple 50-win seasons. He became known for player development, mentoring athletes such as Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr., and GG Jackson. Under Jenkins, the Grizzlies secured their first Southwest Division title and made three consecutive postseason appearances, including a first-round victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA Playoffs. Jenkins was named Western Conference Coach of the Month twice and holds the franchise record for career coaching wins with the Grizzlies.

Jenkins later returned to Milwaukee as head coach of the Bucks, succeeding Doc Rivers. The Bucks' front office valued Jenkins' tactical approach, including a pace-and-space offense and a defense focused on physicality and forcing turnovers. With experience in rebuilding teams and developing young talent, Jenkins brings a strategic vision to the Bucks during a pivotal period in the NBA.
