Tarang Amin

Tarang Amin is the chief executive officer of e.l.f. Beauty, where he has led the company through a decade of rapid growth and transformation. Since taking the helm in 2014, Amin has steered e.l.f. to become one of the most dynamic names in beauty, taking the company public in 2016 and overseeing its expansion from $135 million in shareholder equity to more than $8 billion. He is widely recognized for his focus on innovation, operational excellence and team culture, guided by the motto, “One team, One dream.”

Amin’s entrepreneurial spirit traces back to his childhood, when his family invested their savings into a small motel. From that experience, he learned the fundamentals of cash flow, customer service and community responsibility, lessons that shaped his career and leadership philosophy. Over the past 30 years, he has built a reputation for assembling high-performing teams and scaling global consumer brands.

Before joining e.l.f., Amin served as president, CEO and director of Schiff Nutrition, where he helped grow the business from $190 million to $1.5 billion with household names such as Airborne and MegaRed. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at The Clorox Company, where he managed its $1.5 billion Litter, Food and Charcoal divisions and created the Health & Wellness platform, which helped double the size of the franchise. He began his career in brand management at Procter & Gamble, leading work on Pantene and Bounty.

Amin holds a Bachelor of Arts in international policy and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
