Tanya König

Tanya König is a Swiss broadcast journalist, television presenter, and multilingual event moderator based in Zurich. She is recognized for her work as a TV presenter, show host, interviewer, and digital video producer. König holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sinology, film studies, and political science from the University of Zurich and completed a year of study in Beijing. She attended the Ringier School of Journalism, where she produced video journalism packages for Blick, Cash, and Schweizer-Illustrierte, becoming the first video journalist in the history of the Ringier School of Journalism.

König's career includes roles in both public and private broadcasting in Switzerland and internationally. She worked as a multimedia editor for Swiss National Television SRF and served as the online host of "The Voice of Switzerland." At CNN Money Switzerland, König hosted and produced interviews and programs focused on art, culture, lifestyle, and entrepreneurship. Her art market interviews have been referenced by Financial Times, The New York Times, artnet news, and The Art Newspaper. She has also contributed as a freelance correspondent for Portuguese National Television, reporting for the program "Hora dos Portugueses" on RTPi and covering the Portuguese diaspora and their businesses in Switzerland.

König joined Swiss National Television SRF as an anchor and editor, becoming a familiar presence on the program "Gesichter & Geschichten," where she conducted interviews with public figures and cultural personalities. She moderated "Gesichter & Geschichten" for three years while also serving as an editor. König has been part of the team at "Tagesschau kompakt," a newsflash airing at noon and 6 p.m., as well as the late-night editions of "Tagesschau" on weekends. She has hosted SRF's live Oscar coverage, providing Swiss audiences with insights into the global entertainment industry.

In addition to her television work, König is an entrepreneur and event host. She is the founder and owner of KÖNIG LLC and is frequently engaged to moderate and host conferences, panel discussions, galas, and livestream productions. König has moderated more than 200 events across Switzerland, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Norway, Spain, Singapore, and Portugal. She began volunteering for TEDxZurich as a storyteller and moderator and now hosts TEDxZurichSalon and TEDxZurichWomen events. König launched "Swizz Art Biz," a video podcast featuring interviews with key figures in the art world. Fluent in German, English, and Portuguese, with additional proficiency in Mandarin, French, and Spanish, König connects with diverse audiences worldwide, contributing to her reputation as a versatile and internationally focused media professional in journalism, broadcasting, and event moderation.
