Take 6, composed of Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea, and Khristian Dentley, is recognized as one of the most awarded vocal groups in music history, with 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards, a Soul Train Award, and additional honors. Originating at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama, McKnight formed the group initially as The Gentleman's Estate Quartet.
