Swarzy Macaly is a broadcaster and media personality recognized for her work across UK radio and television. Macaly began her broadcasting career after winning a competition to become a presenter at KISS FM, where she went on to present KISS Breakfast every Saturday and Sunday morning, host the red carpet at the BRIT Awards, and interview prominent figures in pop music. She launched KISS Life, the station's first speech radio show, providing a platform for in-depth conversations with listeners and demonstrating her versatility as a host.

Macaly currently hosts the BBC Radio 1 Early Breakfast Show and the 1Xtra Weekend Breakfast Show. She also presents the BBC Daily Service and Sunday Worship on BBC Radio 4, and has contributed to programs such as "God & Hip Hop" for BBC 1Xtra and BBC Songs of Praise. Her television credits include hosting the London New Year's Day Parade, which reaches audiences in the UK and USA. Macaly's work extends to social justice and community engagement, with contributions to Paddy O'Connell's paper review on Radio 4, hosting the BBC Bitesize Schools Tour, and presenting documentaries including "Me vs Climate Change" and "Instagramification."

Macaly is the founder of Too Much Source, an annual exhibition and series of live events dedicated to celebrating Black British creatives. The gallery has featured themes such as "Joy and Resilience in 2020" and "rest and resilience," in partnership with organizations including Roundhouse, KISS, BBC Creative, and the Barbican. Too Much Source also provides young people with career opportunities in the creative industries.

Her focus on social change, sustainability, and climate issues has led to roles hosting panels at COP26 and the BBC Climate Creative event, where she interviewed commissioners from major TV networks about storytelling and representation. During the national lockdown, Macaly served as the presenter of My Life My Say's Quarantine Question Time, interviewing public figures such as Sir Keir Starmer, Sadiq Khan, and John Podesta. She has partnered with brands including Nike, JCDecaux, TikTok, The Podcast Show London, The Commonwealth Games, BBC Bitesize Tour, Somerset House, the Barbican, and SOHO House.

Macaly's accolades include winning Best Presenter at the UK Entertainment Awards and being named one of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Black History Month Next Generation Trailblazers. She is an experienced moderator, keynote speaker, and event host, delivering presentations on topics such as racism, diversity, womanhood, and inclusivity. Macaly has moderated panels for organizations including Unilever, Ofcom, Group M, ITV, and CICC, and is recognized for her ability to connect with audiences across generations and backgrounds in British media.
