Susan Dell

Susan Dell, an accomplished athlete and fashion entrepreneur, co-founded the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, a global philanthropic organization committed to creating opportunities for change. With an annual management of over 800 active projects worldwide, the foundation has pledged nearly $3 billion to a myriad of causes. Additionally, Dell has a strong entrepreneurial background, having founded three fashion labels, including the luxury brand Phi. Her sporting achievements are equally notable, having competed in elite marathons, triathlons, and the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.

Under her leadership, the foundation has made significant contributions to the healthcare sector in Texas. This is evident in the establishment of the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, the Dell Seton Medical Center, and the Dell Children’s Medical Center. Her commitment to public health extends beyond Texas, as demonstrated by her service on President Bush's Council for Physical Fitness and Sports. In addition to her work in healthcare, she is a life trustee of the Dell Children’s Foundation board.

Following the devastation wrought by Hurricane Harvey, Dell and her husband, Michael Dell, initiated the creation of the $100 million Rebuild Texas Fund to support affected communities. In recognition of their philanthropic efforts, Dell was inducted into the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame. Subsequently, in 2025, the couple received the History-Making Texan Award from the Texas State History Museum Foundation. This award acknowledges their significant contributions to the state of Texas and beyond. That same year, the Dell's committed $6.25 billion to fund ivnestment accounts for some 25 million American children, the largest amount ever donated to children.
