Susan Credle

Susan Credle is a recognized leader in the advertising industry, with a four-decade career that has shaped some of the most influential campaigns in modern marketing. Credle began her career at BBDO New York as an intern, where she and her art director partner Steve Rutter launched the comedic ensemble of M&M's characters, marking the start of her ascent in the field. During her 24-year tenure at BBDO, she reinvented the M&M's brand, contributed to Cingular Wireless's transformation into a category leader, and developed award-winning advertising for clients such as Bank of America, FedEx, Gillette, Lowe's, PepsiCo, Pizza Hut, and Visa.

Before joining FCB, Credle served as chief creative officer at Leo Burnett in Chicago, where she oversaw campaigns including Allstate's "Mayhem," Secret Deodorant's "Mean Stinks" anti-bullying initiative, and McDonald's Happy Meal literacy efforts. At Leo Burnett, she fostered a collaborative culture, strengthened client relationships, and attracted new brands.

Upon joining FCB as global chief creative officer, Credle, alongside C-suite partners Carter Murray and Nigel Jones, focused on cultivating a creative environment that produced strong results. Under her leadership, FCB earned more than 170 Clio Awards and produced Grand Clio-winning campaigns such as "McEnroe vs. McEnroe" for Michelob ULTRA and "Whopper Detour" for Burger King. FCB North America was named Cannes Lions North America Agency of the Year for multiple consecutive years, FCB received the Global Network of the Year title at Cannes, and FCB New York was recognized as Agency of the Year at the Clio Awards and received Emmy Awards.

Credle later assumed the role of Interpublic global creative advisor, leveraging her extensive experience to emphasize the value of creativity as an economic driver in marketing and advertising. She has been named to Ad Age's "100 Most Influential Women" and Business Insider's "Most Creative Women in Advertising," and was the first woman to chair The One Club for Creativity. Credle has received the Clio Lifetime Achievement Award, the Cannes Lions Lion of St. Mark award, and has been inducted into the AAF Advertising Hall of Fame. In addition to her creative contributions, she is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, working to support the next generation of industry leaders.
