Sunny Mann

Sunny Mann is a British lawyer, global strategist, and the Global Chair of Baker McKenzie LLP, one of the world’s largest and most influential law firms with offices in more than 70 countries. Based in London, he assumed the four‑year role in October 2025, leading the firm’s global strategy, culture, and client relationships while representing Baker McKenzie on the world stage. Prior to becoming Global Chair, Mann served as global chair of the firm’s market‑leading International Trade Practice Group, where he built a reputation for excellence in compliance, trade sanctions, export controls, and cross‑border investigations for multinational clients.

Mann’s legal career at Baker McKenzie spans more than 25 years, during which he has practiced in London as well as in the firm’s offices in Washington, D.C., New York, Sydney, and Hong Kong. He advises numerous FTSE 100 and Fortune 100 companies on complex regulatory and geopolitical issues and has been consistently ranked a Band 1 practitioner by leading legal directories such as The Legal 500 and Chambers. Mann also chairs Baker McKenzie’s Geopolitical Risks Taskforce, which guided major corporate responses to global disruptions, including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and evolving trade and tariff wars.

In addition to his leadership roles at the firm, Mann contributes to legal education and policy through academic appointments. He serves as a Visiting Professor at King’s College London, teaching sanctions on the LLM programme, and for 15 years was a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe, where he taught corporate compliance. These roles reflect his commitment to shaping future generations of legal professionals and his expertise in key areas of global law and regulation.
