Steven Krupp

Steven Krupp is a thought leader in executive development and strategic leadership, with decades of experience advising C-suite executives and boards at global organizations. Krupp is a partner in Heidrick Consulting and a member of the CEO & Board Practice. Based in the Philadelphia office, he is also part of the Healthcare & Life Sciences practice. His career centers on helping leaders navigate complexity and build capabilities to succeed in uncertain environments.

Krupp previously served as senior managing partner at Decision Strategies International, a global strategy and executive development advisory firm acquired by Heidrick & Struggles. At Decision Strategies International, he supported executives transitioning to CEO and C-suite roles, focusing on strategic agility, transformation, decision-making, collaboration, customer centricity, and innovation. Krupp has advised CEOs on implementing strategies for uncertain environments and shaping adaptive organizations that respond to rapidly changing demands. Before joining Decision Strategies International, he was a senior partner at Oliver Wyman/Mercer Delta, where he led the executive talent management practice. He also served as senior managing vice president at Right Management Consultants, leading the human capital consulting business for the Americas.

Krupp is the co-author of the book "Winning the Long Game: How Strategic Leaders Shape the Future," which provides a leadership road map for navigating volatile business environments. In the book, Krupp and co-author Paul J. H. Schoemaker explore the intersection of strategy and leadership, offering guidance on developing strategic leadership in a world of uncertainty. The book profiles leaders such as Elon Musk, Richard Branson, Sara Blakely, Pope Francis, Oprah Winfrey, and Nelson Mandela.
