Steve Leder

Steve Leder is a Senior Rabbi, award-winning commentator, and New York Times bestselling author. Leder currently serves as the Senior Rabbi of Wilshire Boulevard Temple, a prestigious synagogue in Los Angeles with three campuses and 2,700 families. He is the author of five books, including "The Extraordinary Nature of Ordinary Things," "More Money Than God: Living a Rich Life Without Losing Your Soul," "More Beautiful Than Before: How Suffering Transforms Us," "The Beauty of What Remains," and the New York Times and LA Times bestseller "For You When I Am Gone: Twelve Essential Questions to Tell a Life Story."

Leder is a contributor and guest on The Today Show, CBS Sunday Morning, CNN, and NPR, and writes for TIME, USA Today, Women's Day Magazine, and the Los Angeles Jewish Journal where his Torah commentaries were read weekly by over 50K people. He has a segment on Spectrum 1 News Los Angeles called "Wisdom Wednesdays With Rabbi Steve Leder." His sermon on capital punishment was included in an award-winning episode of "The West Wing," and he is the creative consultant for the new Netflix series "Shiksa" produced by Steve Levitan and written and produced by Erin Foster.

He is also a highly sought-after speaker who received the Louis Rappaport Award for Excellence in Commentary from the American Jewish Press Association, the Kovler Award from the Religious Action Center in Washington D.C. for his work in Black and Jewish dialogue and has presented twice at the Aspen Ideas Festival.
