Stephen Graham Jones

Stephen Graham Jones, a member of the Blackfeet Nation, has prolifically contributed to horror, crime, and literary fiction, frequently incorporating Indigenous themes and perspectives into his work. Currently, he holds the Ineva Baldwin Professor of English position at the University of Colorado, where he has been a faculty member since 2008.

With over 30 books to his credit, Jones's notable works include "The Only Good Indians," "My Heart Is a Chainsaw," and "Night of the Mannequins." These works have earned him multiple Bram Stoker Awards, including Best Novel for "The Only Good Indians" in 2020 and for "My Heart Is a Chainsaw" in 2021. "The Only Good Indians" also won the Ray Bradbury Prize for Science Fiction, Fantasy & Speculative Fiction in 2020 and the Alex Award. His novella, "Mapping the Interior," won the Bram Stoker Award for Best Long Fiction in 2017. His work, "My Heart Is a Chainsaw," won the Locus Award for Best Horror Novel in 2022.

Jones's additional accomplishments include being shortlisted for the Audie Award in the Thriller/Suspense category, the World Fantasy Award, and the British Fantasy Award for "The Only Good Indians." "My Heart Is a Chainsaw" won the Shirley Jackson Award and the Locus Award for Horror Novel in 2022. His other work, "Don't Fear the Reaper," was shortlisted for the Bram Stoker Award in 2023, and he won the British Fantasy Award for Horror Novel in 2024.

Apart from his novels, Jones has also written under the pseudonym P. T. Jones, co-authoring "Floating Boy and the Girl Who Couldn't Fly" with Paul G. Tremblay. He has also contributed to comics, notably the series "Earthdivers" since October 2022. He even contributed an X-Men story to Marvel Comics' "Marvel's Voices: Indigenous Voices #1" anthology, launched in November 2020. Jones's recent novels include "The Angel of Indian Lake" and "The Buffalo Hunter Hunter."
