Stephanie Au

Stephanie Au Hoi-shun is a five-time Olympian and competitive swimmer from Hong Kong whose career has spanned nearly two decades. Au represented Hong Kong at the Olympic Games in Beijing, London, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, and Paris, competing in backstroke and freestyle events. She holds 18 Hong Kong national records, including long course records in the 800-meter freestyle, 50-meter and 100-meter backstroke, as well as short course records in the 800-meter and 1,500-meter freestyle, and the 50-meter, 100-meter, and 200-meter backstroke. Au also holds all long course and short course women's relay records for Hong Kong.

Au graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in environmental economics and policy. She has received the Hong Kong Top Outstanding Young Person Award and the Hong Kong Outstanding Student Award. Au served as chairman of the Hong Kong Athletes' Commission and has been featured on the covers of Vogue Hong Kong and Tatler, highlighting women in sports. She has also served as an ambassador for brands including Arena, Nike, Chanel, and Calvin Klein.

Alongside Olympians Camille Cheng and Jamie Yeung, Au co-founded Mind The Waves, an organization focused on youth mental health. The initiative provides workshops, talks, and safe spaces to support emotional wellbeing and build mental resilience among young people. Au is an advocate for gender equality and mental health in Hong Kong's sports community and promotes women's participation in sport. She also serves as an Olympic Ambassador.
