Stephan Jenkins is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer recognized as the founder and frontman of the San Francisco-based alternative rock band Third Eye Blind. Jenkins began his music career in the early 1990s, initially as part of a rap duo before forming Third Eye Blind. The band built its reputation through performances around the San Francisco Bay Area before signing with Elektra Records and releasing its self-titled debut album. The album produced several Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 singles, including "Semi-Charmed Life," "Jumper," and "How's It Gonna Be."
