Srini Gopalan

Srini Gopalan is president and chief executive officer of T-Mobile and a member of the company’s board of directors. He was appointed CEO in November 2025 after serving as chief operating officer.

As COO, Gopalan brought extensive global experience in technology, telecommunications and business operations, driving results through operational excellence, digital innovation and customer-first strategies. He has advanced T-Mobile’s digital transformation, strengthened execution and customer experience across the Consumer and Business groups, and continues to evolve the company into a more data-driven, AI-enabled, digital-first organization.

Now as CEO, Gopalan is focused on unleashing the Un-carrier’s next era of growth — leading from a position of strength and ensuring T-Mobile continues to reimagine what’s possible for customers.

Before joining the leadership team, Gopalan served on T-Mobile’s board of directors, contributing to the success of the Un-carrier strategy. Prior to T-Mobile, he was CEO of Deutsche Telekom Germany, where he doubled the company’s growth rate, expanded fiber to millions of homes and achieved record mobile market share. Earlier, as a Deutsche Telekom board member for Europe, he helped transform the business into one of the region’s fastest-growing telecom operations with industry-leading customer satisfaction. Gopalan also had senior roles at Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Capital One.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Stephen’s College in New Delhi and a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad.
