Spidey

Bedros Akkelian, known professionally as Spidey, is a mentalist, hypnotist, and creator specializing in magic and mentalism. As a licensed hypnotist with a degree in social psychology, Akkelian integrates mentalism, hypnosis, and psychology to develop a unique approach to magic, which he calls social magic. He began performing magic for family and friends before focusing on mentalism as a teenager, a passion that led to appearances on stages and television screens worldwide.

Akkelian was a finalist on four national television shows, including "Canada's Got Talent" and "Showtime at the Apollo," and received nominations for Canadian Magician of the Year and the U.S. Mentalist of the Year Award. His television appearances include NBC, Netflix, FOX, Discovery Channel, Entertainment Tonight, SyFy, TruTV, and CW. Akkelian joined the cast of the CW's "Masters of Illusion," and his Netflix original series, "Brainchild," explores motivation and influence for a global audience.

Akkelian held a residency at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas as the mentalist in the show "Limitless." He has performed internationally, including at the Las Vegas Rio Casino and the Apollo Theater in New York City, and has reached audiences through television, digital platforms, and live events. Akkelian has performed for and consulted with public figures such as Jennifer Lopez, Steve Harvey, Simon Cowell, Neil Patrick Harris, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Penn & Teller.

Akkelian is the exclusive mentalist creator for Theory11, a leading online magic creator company. His creation "Ultra Gum" is recognized as a best-selling magic trick, and he has released several instructional DVDs and collaborated with notable magicians including Richard Sanders and Wayne Houchin.

In addition to his stage work, Akkelian is recognized as an expert in body language, persuasion, and influence. He has consulted for Hollywood celebrities and Fortune 500 companies, including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. Through keynote speeches and workshops, Akkelian provides training in communication skills, consumer behavior, and persuasion strategies for corporate teams at organizations such as Mercedes-Benz, ADP, Rolex, Chrysler, and Royal Bank of Canada.
