Sophie Power

An accomplished ultrarunner, campaigner, advisor, and speaker, Sophie Power is dedicated to expanding opportunities for women and girls in sport. Over the past decade, she has completed more than 50 ultramarathons, including the Spartathlon (153 miles), UTMB (106 miles), and Spine Fusion (268 miles), earning several victories along the way and representing Great Britain at the 24-Hour World Championships.

In 2018, a photograph of her breastfeeding her three-month-old baby during the UTMB captured global attention and highlighted the barriers female athletes often face. Motivated by her experience, she founded SheRACES, an organization that works with race organizers to create more inclusive policies and environments for women, beginning with advocacy for pregnancy deferrals and expanding to broader issues affecting female participation in sport.

Power is a Trustee of Women in Sport and uses her platform to champion greater access, equity, and opportunity for women and girls. Her professional career spans investment banking, private equity, executive leadership, and entrepreneurship, including roles as CFO of a global marketing agency and CEO of an environmental technology company she co-founded. Today, she serves on the boards of growth companies and advises organizations committed to driving positive social impact.
