Sophie Nélisse

Sophie Nélisse made a striking entrance into the film industry, winning a Genie Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Monsieur Lazhar". This victory was only the beginning, as she went on to earn a nomination for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film for the same movie at the 2012 Genie Awards. Further recognition followed in 2013 when she was a co-recipient of the Satellite Award for Breakthrough Performance, and she took home the Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film. Nélisse's performance in "The Book Thief" in 2014 was also highly recognized, earning her another award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film at the Young Artist Awards.

Continuing to diversify her portfolio, Nélisse took on the role of Shauna Shipman in the Showtime psychological thriller series "Yellowjackets" in 2021. Her ability to adapt to various roles and genres further solidifies her as a versatile actress. In 2023, she demonstrated her range once again by starring as Irena Gut in "Irena's Vow," which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
