Sommore

Lori Ann Rambough, known professionally as Sommore, is an American stand-up comedian, actress, writer, and producer recognized for her contributions to contemporary comedy. Her comedic style features biting sarcasm and frank discussions about money, sex, and gender equality, establishing her as a prominent figure in the stand-up comedy industry. Sommore credits her writing skills and early influences from her father, a writer and English teacher, as foundational to her approach to comedy. After college, she entered the Atlanta comedy circuit, where her original voice and work ethic propelled her career.

Sommore became the first woman to host BET's "Comic View," presiding over the 1994–1995 season, and received the Richard Pryor Award for Comic of the Year. She was a featured performer on the "Queens of Comedy" tour alongside Mo'Nique, Laura Hayes, and Adele Givens. The tour, which was filmed and aired on Showtime and released on DVD, set attendance records and became the highest-rated and longest-running special in Showtime Network history.

In addition to her stand-up work, Sommore has appeared in films such as "Friday After Next," "Soul Plane," and "Dirty Laundry." Her television appearances include The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The View, and Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher. As a producer and entrepreneur, she launched the stand-up comedy special "The Queen Stands Alone" and founded the entertainment company One Thousand Kisses, Inc. Her special "Sommore: The Reign Continues" aired on Netflix, expanding her reach in digital streaming comedy.
