Launching into the music scene with the extended play "In Another Life" in 2023, Sombr rapidly climbed the charts with the release of his debut studio album "I Barely Know Her" in 2025. This album included hit singles "Back to Friends" and "Undressed," both of which gained significant traction on social media platform TikTok, leading to his international recognition. Further bolstering his chart success, Sombr released the singles "We Never Dated" and "12 to 12" in the same year, the latter of which included a music video featuring Addison Rae.
In 2025, Sombr's music video for "Back to Friends" garnered the MTV Video Music Award for Best Alternative Video. This was followed by nominations for Best New Artist and Song of Summer for "12 to 12". The artist's recognition extended beyond the MTV awards as he was also nominated for the NRJ Music Awards that same year. In addition to these accolades, Sombr announced his first solo concert tour, covering North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. This tour was fittingly named The Late Nights & Young Romance Tour.
