Sofiat Abdulrazaaq

Sofiat Abdulrazaaq, JD, is a fintech entrepreneur, privacy expert, and the co-founder and CEO of Goodfynd. Goodfynd's digital platform connects food truck owners to their customers and provides an end-to-end payment system for mobile businesses, including online ordering, point of sale, invoicing, instant payouts, and inventory management. Abdulrazaaq entered the fintech industry to pair her interest in food culture with a user-friendly payments platform designed to support food truck operators, many of whom are immigrants and people of color. Goodfynd's user base is notably diverse, with significant representation from Latinx, Black, Asian and Pacific Islander, and white immigrant communities.

Abdulrazaaq's path to entrepreneurship is shaped by a breadth of academic and professional experience. After graduating with double majors in political science and psychology, she earned a master's in global affairs from the University of Denver and a juris doctorate from American University College of Law with a specialization in privacy law. Before co-founding Goodfynd, Abdulrazaaq served as a product lead at The College Board, overseeing strategic and technical product management. She has more than a decade of experience translating business goals into developed products and has held leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies and billion-dollar nonprofit organizations.

Abdulrazaaq has spoken about the personal challenges that have influenced her career. While at Virginia Tech, she experienced a mass school shooting, losing friends and classmates and grappling with survivor's guilt. She has noted that such traumatic experiences have fueled her sense of responsibility to share the stories of those she lost. That resilience supported her through the early days of Goodfynd, including when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of the food market where the company operated. Abdulrazaaq and her co-founders adapted and continued to grow the business.

Abdulrazaaq is among a small number of Black women founders who have raised over $1 million in venture capital, with total fundraising exceeding $3 million. She has been recognized by Ebony as part of its new C-Suite, Millennial Execs Changing the Game, and leverages her industry expertise to reinvest in her community. In addition to co-founding Goodfynd, Abdulrazaaq founded SBA Strategies, a consultancy practice where she teaches product management and serves as a corporate advisor.

Abdulrazaaq is a keynote speaker on topics including fintech, entrepreneurship, diversity and inclusion, and female leadership. She addresses subjects such as the future of payments, the diverse founder experience, building a culture-first business, and building for impact. Her work continues to support underrepresented entrepreneurs and demonstrates how technology can drive economic inclusion.
