Smylie Kaufman Biography
PGA Tour winner Smylie Kaufman joined NBC Sports in January 2023 and serves as an on-course reporter and commentator for its golf coverage.
Kaufman made his NBC Sports PGA TOUR on-air debut at the 2022 Shriners Children’s Open — an event he won in 2015 — and worked additional TOUR and amateur events on GOLF Channel during the year. He has since rapidly ascended internally with NBC Sports and is one of the most notable up and coming broadcasters in the business.
Kaufman was a four-year member of the LSU golf team and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama, with his wife, Francie, and daughter, Anna Carter. In addition to being a girl dad, he is passionate about raising money for philanthropic causes in his local community.
Smylie can be seen walking the fairways or in the booth of 20+ PGA TOUR Tournaments per year, or on his rapidly growing podcast, "The Smylie Show."
