Small Fire

Small Fire, born Sylvia Holloway, is a comedian, speaker, and performer recognized for her work at the intersection of faith and comedy. Holloway began her career performing in stand-up comedy clubs and gained national attention with appearances on BET's "ComicView," "Def Comedy Jam," "Showtime at the Apollo," and "The Wayans Brothers." She appeared in the Disney film "The First Kid" with Sinbad and contributed her voice to the animated series "Class of 3000."

After dedicating her life to faith-based work, Holloway integrated themes of church, family values, and personal growth into her comedy. She hosted the nationally distributed DVD series "Holla!," which featured inspirational and family-friendly comedians, and appeared on gospel-focused programs including TBN, Bobby Jones Gospel, and the Word Network. Her television credits also include "The Mo'Nique Show" and the comedy special "Radio One Family Comedy Tour: Volume 1."

Holloway received the Urban Gospel Alliance Comedian of the Year award for her contributions to Christian comedy. She has engaged youth across the country as a motivational speaker, addressing topics such as self-esteem, substance abuse prevention, teen sexual health, and the importance of education. Her work in motivational speaking highlights her commitment to community development.

As a member of the comedy trio Kleans of Komedy, alongside Chinnitta Morris and Trina Jeffrie, Holloway has performed at major events nationwide and shared stages with gospel artists including Yolanda Adams. She has also hosted the Mississippi Gospel Music Awards, further establishing her presence in gospel and Christian entertainment. Holloway continues to deliver both comedy and motivational messages to audiences across the country.
