Sloane Stephens

Sloane Stephens is a professional tennis player who achieved a career-best ranking of world No. 3 after Wimbledon in 2018. The 2017 US Open champion, she has won seven women's singles titles and one doubles title on the WTA Tour.

Stephens made her professional debut in 2009, winning the junior French, Wimbledon and US Open doubles titles in 2010, and steadily climbing the WTA rankings with her powerful baseline play and exceptional athleticism. Her breakthrough came in 2013 when she reached the semifinals of the Australian Open, defeating Serena Williams in the process, which marked her arrival as a major force in women’s tennis.

Stephens’ career reached its pinnacle in 2017 when she won the US Open, her first Grand Slam title. By the end of that year, she had ascended into the top 20 in the WTA rankings, earning accolades and widespread recognition for her tenacity and skill.

Off the court, Stephens won an ESPY for Best Female Tennis Player in 2018, was part of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2018 Edition, and had a Jordan and Nike Court sneaker collaboration for the 2019 US Open.

Known for her engaging personality and philanthropic efforts, Stephens has worked with Soles4Souls, a charity that collects new and used shoes to give to children in poverty. She also established the Sloane Stephens Foundation, which focuses on enhancing the quality of life for underserved youth through education, sports, and community outreach.
