Skrillex

Sonny Moore, known professionally as Skrillex, is a Grammy Award-winning record producer, DJ, musician, singer, and songwriter recognized for his influence in the electronic music industry.

Moore transitioned from his role as the frontman of the post-hardcore band From First to Last to focus on electronic music, launching the Skrillex project. Initially using the Skrillex name for live DJ sets, Moore soon began producing remixes for artists such as Lady Gaga and Snoop Dogg. His self-released digital EP "My Name Is Skrillex" introduced a blend of electro and dance music, drawing inspiration from artists like Benny Benassi, Deadmau5, the Chemical Brothers, and Fatboy Slim.

After signing with Mau5trap, Skrillex released the EP "Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites," which included the club track "Kill Everybody." His presence in popular culture expanded with an appearance on the television series "Beavis & Butthead" and a collaboration with members of The Doors on the track "Breakin' a Sweat." The creation of this track was featured in the documentary film "RE:GENERATION," and the song appeared on the "Bangarang" EP.

Skrillex released his debut LP "Recess" following a series of successful EPs. He later partnered with Diplo under the name Jack Ü, releasing the album "Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü." The album received the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album and produced the international hit "Where Are Ü Now" featuring Justin Bieber.

Moore has cited The Doors, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and Daft Punk as key influences on his sound. His discography includes albums such as "Quest for Fire" and "Don't Get Too Close," which further showcase his contributions to electronic music production. Skrillex has headlined major festivals, including Coachella, and is recognized for his innovative approach to music production and dynamic live performances. He is also an active public speaker, frequently addressing topics related to creativity, technology, and the evolution of music production.
