Silvia Wiesner

Silvia Wiesner is a consumer goods executive and leadership expert with a career spanning more than two decades in purpose-driven business, inclusive leadership, and organizational transformation. Wiesner developed expertise in purpose-led business development during a 17-year commercial career at Unilever, where she led teams across marketing, sales, and general management. After holding marketing and sales management roles in Vienna and Hamburg, she became key account director in Germany, later general manager and vice president marketing for the Foods DACH business, and ultimately managing director for Belgium and Luxembourg. Wiesner is known for placing people at the center of business strategy.

Wiesner earned a degree in business administration from the University of Graz and has completed executive education courses at Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, INSEAD, and the Corporate Governance Institute. After her tenure at Unilever, she joined Egon Zehnder, working with boards and executive teams on leadership and organizational challenges. In this capacity, Wiesner brought extensive experience in marketing, sales, and general management within the consumer goods industry across European markets. She later became CEO of Rotkäppchen-Mumm, a German company recognized as a leading provider of sparkling wine, wine, and spirits, with a portfolio of more than 200 international premium products.

Beyond her executive roles, Wiesner is active in leadership, diversity, and sustainability initiatives. She was selected as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and serves on the executive committee of European Women on Boards, a pan-European NGO focused on gender equality in decision-making. Wiesner was named among the Top 100 Women for Diversity in Germany by BeyondGenderAgenda and was shortlisted as Personality of the Year by the Belgian FMCG/Retail Organisation Gondola. As committee chair for global memberships at IMAGINE, Wiesner helps curate a community of leaders committed to responsible business practices.

Wiesner regularly delivers keynote speeches and participates in panel discussions across Europe on topics such as positive leadership, courageous leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion in the metaverse, and embedding sustainability in corporate settings. She has delivered a TEDx Talk on intentional leadership and mentors for the EMEA Fellowship Program of the Marketing Academy and for nushu Female Business. With a multilingual, multicultural background and a record of leading organizations through change, Wiesner is recognized as a prominent voice on the future of leadership and inclusive business in Europe.
