Shingai Manjengwa

Shingai Manjengwa is a leading voice on artificial intelligence, helping leaders understand what AI means for their organizations, their people and the future of work. Manjengwa is senior director of AI education and development at Mila, one of the world's leading AI research institutes, and founder and CEO of Fireside Analytics, an AI and data science education company whose programs have reached more than 500,000 learners worldwide. A data scientist by training, Manjengwa brings technical depth together with a rare ability to make complex AI ideas practical, accessible and relevant to audiences from the boardroom to Parliament.

Manjengwa has advised, educated and spoken to audiences across government, business and education on AI adoption, responsible AI, governance, productivity and the future of work. She previously led technical education at the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence and developed Canada's first ministry-inspected high school data science course. Manjengwa is a Public Policy Forum fellow, recipient of the 2023 Women in Data Science Guiding Light Award, and author of "The Computer and the Cancelled Music Lessons." Her speaking and public-engagement work has included stages and programs with UNESCO, John Deere, Disney, IBM, the Government of Canada and other leading international institutions.
