Phillips joined Forbes in 1996 as publisher of ForbesLife, the company's lifestyle publication. She advanced through leadership roles, including chief sales and marketing officer and chief revenue officer, where she managed digital media, branded content, events, and marketing. During her tenure as CRO, Forbes' live events revenue increased significantly, and the sales team secured multiple high-value advertising partnerships. Phillips also held a position at The Philadelphia Inquirer before returning to Forbes to continue her leadership trajectory.

As CEO, Phillips established the AI & Strategic Platforms Group to position Forbes at the forefront of digital media and technology.
