Shelley Long

Shelley Long is an actress, comedian, and singer known for her work in television comedy and film. Long developed her skills at Northwestern University and later joined Second City in Chicago. She began her career writing, producing, and co-hosting the television program "Sorting It Out" on WMAQ-TV, earning three Regional Emmy Awards for her contributions. Long was also active on her high school speech team, competing in the Indiana High School Forensic Association and winning the National Forensic League's National Championship in Original Oratory. These early experiences established a foundation for her career in entertainment and comedy.

Long gained national recognition for her portrayal of Diane Chambers on "Cheers" on NBC.
