Shantanu Narayen

Shantanu Narayen is an Indian-American business executive who serves as chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Adobe Inc., a leading software company specializing in creative, digital document, and digital experience solutions. Narayen earned a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering from University College of Engineering at Osmania University in Hyderabad, a master's degree in computer science from Bowling Green State University, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Before joining Adobe, he held positions at Apple and Silicon Graphics and co-founded the photo-sharing startup Pictra. Narayen joined Adobe as senior vice president of worldwide product development, later advancing to executive vice president of worldwide products, and was appointed president and chief operating officer.

As CEO, Narayen led Adobe's transition from boxed software to a cloud-based subscription model, resulting in the development of "Adobe Creative Cloud," which provides creative professionals with access to tools such as "Photoshop," "Illustrator," and "Premiere Pro." He oversaw the acquisition of Omniture, expanding Adobe's capabilities in digital marketing analytics, and co-led the acquisition of Macromedia, strengthening the company's presence in enterprise software, mobile devices, and multimedia publishing.
