Seth Godin

Seth Godin is an author, entrepreneur, and marketing expert known for his impact on digital marketing, leadership, and the dissemination of ideas. Godin has published more than 20 books, translated into nearly 40 languages, reaching a global audience. Notable titles include "Permission Marketing," which introduced the concept of earning consumer attention; "Purple Cow," "Tribes," "Linchpin," "The Dip," "This Is Marketing," "The Practice," "The Song of Significance," and "This Is Strategy." He is recognized for pioneering ethical email marketing, a practice that has become integral to the digital marketing industry.

Godin holds a degree in computer science and philosophy from Tufts University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He founded Yoyodyne, an early online marketing company later acquired by Yahoo, where he served as vice president of direct marketing. Godin also founded Squidoo and launched the altMBA, an online workshop that became part of Akimbo, a B Corp focused on innovative education. More than 60,000 participants have completed his online courses, including The Marketing Seminar.
