Scott Strazik

Scott Strazik is the chief executive officer and president of GE Vernova, a global energy company focused on electrification and decarbonization. With approximately 85,000 employees in more than 100 countries, GE Vernova's technology base supports the generation of one quarter of the world's electricity. The company traces its origins to Thomas Edison's first New York power station and became an independent entity following the separation of General Electric into three companies.

Strazik brings more than 20 years of experience in finance, operations, and leadership within GE, including over a decade in the power sector. He joined GE in 2000 and has held roles such as chief financial officer of GE Aviation's Commercial Engine Operations, sales and commercial operations leader during the launch of GE's HA gas turbine, and CFO of Gas Power Systems. Strazik was named CEO of GE's Gas Power business and later led the broader GE Power businesses. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in industrial labor relations from Cornell University and a master's degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, with a focus on economics and public policy.

Under Strazik's leadership, GE Vernova has focused on meeting global demand for electric power through its equipment, services, and software. The company has implemented Lean practices to enhance operational and financial performance and has invested in technologies supporting sustainable energy and grid modernization. GE Vernova's market capitalization has increased significantly since its public listing, reflecting investor confidence in its strategy and growth in the renewable energy and power generation sectors.
