Scott LaPierre

Scott LaPierre is a Christian pastor, author, and conference speaker known for his commitment to expository Bible teaching and the practical application of Scripture. LaPierre serves as the teaching pastor at Woodland Christian Church in Washington, where he preaches verse by verse through the books of the Bible and leads the church community. He holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Liberty University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology, and a Master of Arts in Education from Chapman University.

Before entering ministry, LaPierre served as a commissioned Armor Officer through Army ROTC and later worked as an elementary school teacher and coach for football and wrestling. His path to pastoral ministry began after personal hardship, including the loss of his brother to a drug overdose. Invited by colleagues to attend church, LaPierre experienced a transformative encounter with Scripture that led to his conversion and a passion for studying and teaching the Bible. He transitioned from teaching to full-time pastoral ministry, first serving part-time and then full-time at Grace Baptist Church in Lemoore, California, before moving to Woodland Christian Church.

As an author, LaPierre has developed a body of work based on his preaching ministry. His books, including "Your Marriage God's Way," "Your Finances God's Way," "Enduring Trials God's Way," "Work and Rest God's Way," "Being Content God's Way," and "A Father Offers His Son," are grounded in biblical teaching and address topics such as marriage, family, suffering, discipleship, and spiritual growth. LaPierre's publishing journey includes both self-publishing and traditional publishing with Harvest House Publishers.

LaPierre speaks at churches, conferences, and retreats across the United States on Christian living, marriage, and family. He also leads "Your Marriage God's Way," a teaching and conference ministry focused on biblical roles, communication, and unity in marriage. His podcast features conference messages, guest preaching, and expository sermons from Woodland Christian Church, reaching a global audience.
