Scott Gemmill

R. Scott Gemmill is a Canadian television writer and producer known for his extensive work in American drama. Gemmill began his television career as a story editor on the horror adventure series "Friday the 13th," which followed two antique store owners tracking down cursed relics. He quickly advanced to a writing role on the show and contributed to a range of television dramas, including "Sweating Bullets," "Side Effects," "JAG," "ER," "Women's Murder Club," "The Unit," and "NCIS: Los Angeles."

Gemmill's early career featured significant roles on two major network dramas. He earned his first producer credit on "JAG" after two years as a writer, receiving a Humanitas Prize nomination for his work. He spent several seasons as an executive producer and writer on "ER," where he earned two Emmy Award nominations and contributed to the show's success as a leading NBC medical drama. A notable episode of "ER," co-written with David Zabel, won the Humanitas Prize for hour-long series.
