Scot Chisholm is an entrepreneur renowned for his significant contributions to the nonprofit and startup sectors.
In 2006, Chisholm co-founded Classy, a B-Corp software company providing fundraising tools for nonprofit organizations. Initially inspired by a charity pub crawl, Classy evolved into a leading platform that, together with GoFundMe, has facilitated over $30 billion in donations. Chisholm served as CEO until 2021, and in 2022, Classy was acquired by GoFundMe.
Beyond Classy, Chisholm has founded several ventures, including Highland, a community for startup founders; Haskill Creek, a modern drugstore chain; and Save Farmland, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting agricultural land. He is also an active angel investor, with a portfolio spanning over 20 startups across various industries
Chisholm's leadership has earned him recognition such as being named one of Businessweek's Top 5 Most Promising Social Entrepreneurs in America and Glassdoor's Highest Rated CEOs. He continues to influence the entrepreneurial landscape through his ventures and thought leadership.
Chisholm graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.
