Scot Chisholm Biography
Scot Chisholm is a serial entrepreneur, CEO coach, and investor who has spent nearly two decades building and scaling companies. In 2006 he co-founded Classy, the software platform that powered billions of dollars in donations each year before its 2022 acquisition by GoFundMe. Together, Classy and GoFundMe have driven more than $40 billion in total donations. Chisholm served as CEO for over ten years, led the company through the acquisition, and remains an advisor and shareholder.
Today, Chisholm coaches founders and CEOs through Highland, the CEO coaching program and community he founded in 2024. More than 5,000 CEOs and executives have gone through the program and now run on his business frameworks, most notably the Northstar Operating System for scaling companies from $1M to $100M. He also co-founded Haskill Creek in Whitefish, Montana with his wife, a reinvention of the traditional drug store.
Chisholm invests across software, consumer, and sports through his family fund and writes prolifically on leadership for a combined audience of more than 350,000. He has been named one of Glassdoor's Top Rated CEOs and one of Real Leaders' Top CEO Coaches globally, and led a company recognized on Fast Company's 50 Most Innovative Companies list, and Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work for List.
He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
