Savannah Guthrie

Savannah Guthrie joined NBC News in September 2007, where she served in various capacities, including as a legal analyst, correspondent, and White House correspondent. In 2011, she took on the role of NBC Chief Legal Correspondent. Her broad understanding of legal matters and her ability to convey complex information in a digestible manner have been key aspects of her professional journey. Her versatility was further demonstrated in 2012 when she assumed the role of co-anchor on the NBC News morning show "Today," a position she has held ever since. She is set to co-host the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Games.

Alongside her duties on "Today," Guthrie has taken on a number of other public-facing roles. Since 2012, she has been co-hosting the "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" and the annual Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting, two events that require extensive live broadcasting skills. In 2020, her ability to facilitate balanced and informative discussions was showcased when she moderated a town hall with President Donald Trump. Guthrie's excellence in her field was recognized in 2018 when she was included in Time's list of 100 most influential people.

Guthrie has also made a name for herself outside of journalism. She has authored two children's books, "Princesses Wear Pants" and "Princesses Save the World," as well as a religious book, "Mostly What God Does: Reflections on Seeking and Finding His Love Everywhere," demonstrating her ability to engage audiences of all ages. Further showing her versatility, she has made appearances in popular media, including the 2013 series finale of the NBC sitcom "30 Rock" and the 2015 film "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!".
