Sassine Ghazi

Sassine Ghazi is the President and CEO of automation, semiconductor intellectual property, and software security solutions. He assumed the role of CEO in January 2024 after a long and distinguished career with the company, and also serves on its Board of Directors.

Ghazi’s journey at Synopsys began in 1998 when he joined as an applications engineer. Over the ensuing decades, he built a deep foundation of technical and business expertise through a series of leadership roles spanning product development, sales, general management, and operations. His ability to build strong customer relationships and drive innovation earned him increasingly senior responsibilities, including leadership of the EDA Design Group—Synopsys’ largest business unit—where he oversaw the launch of pivotal technologies such as the Fusion Design Platform and Synopsys.ai, the industry’s first AI‑driven EDA solution.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, Ghazi served as Chief Operating Officer and President, roles in which he guided Synopsys through significant revenue growth and operational excellence by championing ambitious strategic priorities and fostering a culture of execution, customer focus, and innovation. His rise within the company reflects a blend of technical insight, strategic leadership, and a relentless commitment to enabling customers to meet the evolving challenges of semiconductor and systems design.

Before joining Synopsys, Ghazi began his professional career as a design engineer at Intel, grounding his leadership with practical engineering experience. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Lebanese American University, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, underscoring a foundation that bridges both technical and business disciplines.
