Sarah Strong

Sarah Strong is a forward for the UConn Huskies, recognized for her versatility as a 6-foot-2 athlete who contributes as a scorer, rebounder, and playmaker. Strong entered college basketball as the top recruit in her class and made an immediate impact with a debut performance that included 17 points, four rebounds, three assists, and six steals. Her freshman season concluded with a national championship, where she recorded a double-double of 24 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in the title game, becoming the first player to achieve at least 20 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in a championship contest. Strong earned honors such as Big East Freshman of the Year, unanimous All-Big East First Team, and Division I WBCA Freshman of the Year. She led her team in points, rebounds, and steals, demonstrating leadership and basketball intelligence.

During her sophomore season, Strong led the Huskies in points, rebounds, blocks, and steals, and ranked second in assists. She achieved 10 double-doubles and scored in double figures in every game, with 16 games of 20 or more points.
