Sarah Spain Biography
Sarah Spain's friends would say she's a troll-slayer, hype-woman, activist, traveler, party-planner, forever learner, wife, and dog mom.
Spain's resume says she's an Emmy, Gracie and Peabody Award-winning sports journalist. She's the host of the first ever daily women's sports podcast, Good Game with Sarah Spain, and the Content Director of iHeart Women's Sports, the first-ever audio platform dedicated exclusively to women's sports. Her first book, "Runs In The Family," was published in 2025.
Spain has been a jack of all trades in her more than two decades in the sports business, including 15+ years at ESPN, working as a radio and podcast host, television personality, producer and writer. Her current part-time work at ESPN is focused on espnW and the women's sports space. Spain is in the inaugural fellows class of ASU's Great Game Lab, is on the Laureus Chicago Sport For Good Leadership Council, was a founding member of the Gatorade Women's Advisory Board, and was formerly a co-owner of the National Women's Soccer League's Chicago Stars. Spain is a graduate of Cornell University, where she was a heptathlete and served as co-captain of the track & field team.
