Sarah Personette

Sarah Personette is a media and technology executive with a career spanning more than two decades at the intersection of advertising, digital platforms, and global brand strategy. Earlier in her career, Personette served as vice president of Facebook's Global Business Marketing, where she oversaw a 500-person team responsible for promoting Facebook's advertising products to clients and potential customers. She also held senior roles at advertising agencies including Universal McCann Worldwide and Starcom Mediavest Group. Personette became Universal McCann's U.S. president at age 33, reflecting her rapid progression in the advertising industry. At Facebook, she led the Global Agency Team and managed efforts to expand the reach of the company's advertising products.

Before joining Twitter, Personette was chief operating officer of Refinery29, overseeing business strategy and development, customer revenue, business marketing, growth and analytics, creative services, and research. She joined Twitter as vice president of Global Client Solutions and was later promoted to chief customer officer, serving as the primary liaison to the advertising community. In this role, Personette oversaw global revenue, customer relationships, and business operations, and was recognized for her commitment to brand safety. She resigned from Twitter following the acquisition of the platform by Elon Musk.

Personette's industry recognition includes the Next Generation of Women in Communications Award from NYWICI, induction into the American Advertising Federation's Advertising Hall of Achievement, and being named one of Advertising Age's "40 Under 40" marketing stars. Her experience navigating leadership roles as a young woman in a male-dominated industry has informed her advocacy for inclusive workplace cultures. She has served as a corporate director for Build-A-Bear Workshop, a publicly traded specialty retail company.

After her tenure at Twitter, Personette became CEO of digital news startup Puck. Puck covers the inside conversation at the nexus of Wall Street, Washington, Silicon Valley, Hollywood, the media, and fashion, and operates a business model that treats journalists as influencers by offering equity and performance bonuses. At Puck, Personette has focused on expanding into new markets, including fashion and the business of sports, and growing the company's live events. Under her leadership, Puck surpassed 100,000 paying subscribers and achieved significant growth in subscription and total revenue. Personette also serves on the board of directors for LifeStance Health, contributing more than 20 years of experience in customer experience and brand strategy.
