Sarah Brokaw

Sarah Brokaw is a licensed therapist, certified executive coach, and bestselling author with expertise in relational dynamics and personal development. Brokaw graduated from Duke University, earned a master’s in social work from New York University, and holds clinical social work licenses in New York and California. She completed eight years of specialized training in family and couple therapy at the Ackerman Institute and a two-year postgraduate program in executive coaching at Fielding University, earning her Professional Certified Coach credential. Brokaw has also completed psychoanalytic training at the National Institute for Psychotherapies, advanced training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and specialized instruction in the Trauma Resiliency Model and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Her clinical experience includes work at Four Winds Hospital with latency-aged children and providing group therapy for individuals impacted by the September 11 attacks. Brokaw is the author of the New York Times bestseller "Fortytude: Making the Next Decades the Best Years of Your Life—through Your 40s, 50s, and Beyond," and has written a second book focused on women of her generation. She is known for public speaking and workshops, including keynote addresses at the Kaleidoscope Series, where she has addressed themes of connection, resilience, and mental health.

Brokaw has launched several initiatives to support women, including the "Wise Women of LA" discussion series and the "Shared Secrets" podcast, which explores the healing power of shared vulnerability. She is active in philanthropy, having volunteered in Rwanda, Bosnia, and Haiti, and serves as a volunteer therapist for Homeboy Industries and as a board member of Equality Now, advocating for the end of violence and discrimination against women worldwide.
