Sana Javeri Kadri

Sana Javeri Kadri is the founder and CEO of Diaspora Co., a mission-driven spice company that is transforming the global spice trade through direct partnerships with regenerative farms across South Asia. Since launching the company in 2017 with a single heirloom turmeric, she has built Diaspora Co. into an award-winning brand that works with more than 150 farm partners to source exceptional spices while paying farmers significantly above commodity-market prices and investing in long-term, equitable relationships.

Born and raised in Mumbai, Kadri studied at Pomona College before beginning her career in food marketing and branding in California. Inspired by the gap between the vibrant spices she grew up with and the stale, commoditized products available in the U.S., she returned to India to build a new supply chain rooted in flavor, transparency, and justice.

Today, Kadri is recognized as a leading voice on regenerative agriculture, ethical sourcing, and the history and future of the spice trade. Through Diaspora Co., she champions biodiversity, supports smallholder farmers, and works to reshape food systems by centering culture, sustainability, and economic equity. Her work has been featured by Forbes, Bon Appétit, CNN, and other major publications, and she regularly speaks on entrepreneurship, food justice, and decolonizing global supply chains.
