Sammy Spina

Sammy Spina is an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, attorney, and published author with a background in professional sports representation, athlete contract negotiation, and sports law. Raised outside Pittsburgh, Spina attended Washington & Jefferson College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English. He co-founded the Western Pennsylvania Prescription Drug Abuse Summit, an initiative that educated students, teachers, parents, and community leaders about the dangers of prescription drug abuse in western Pennsylvania.

Spina earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law. His early achievements include earning a black belt in Tae Kwon Do by age nine, becoming a seven-time Pennsylvania State Champion, two-time Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Champion, and winning a national title. He also competed in the Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament during college.

Spina began his career in sports representation after meeting Ralph Stringer, founder and president of Neostar Football. Demonstrating persistence, Spina started working at Neostar Football by volunteering and eventually became vice president and head NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor. In this role, he managed endorsement opportunities for clients such as Dan Marino, Troy Polamalu, Jason Taylor, and Dwight Stephenson.

Throughout his career, Spina has negotiated endorsement deals for athlete clients with major companies including Pepsi Co, Anheuser-Busch, Capital One, FedEx, and Subway. He is recognized for his leadership in the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) space, curating endorsement opportunities and community events for college athletes nationwide. Spina has also negotiated high-value NFL contracts, including a four-year, $10.5 million contract with $9.6 million guaranteed for second-round tight end Mason Taylor with the New York Jets.

Spina is the author of the personal growth book "The Fight," which details his journey in the sports industry, his father's battle with cancer, and his exploration of faith. His experiences navigating personal and professional challenges have informed his work as a motivational speaker, focusing on resilience, faith, and purpose in the competitive world of sports representation.
