Sammy Adams

Sammy Adams is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter recognized for his contributions to hip-hop and pop music. A descendant of U.S. President John Quincy Adams, Adams gained national attention with his debut EP, "Boston's Boy," which reached No. 1 on the iTunes hip-hop chart and appeared on the Billboard 200. He began his musical journey in childhood, playing piano at age 7 and creating original beats and melodies by age 11. Adams cites influences from rap, classic rock, classical music, and blues.

Adams' career began in his college dorm room, where he used a MacBook to record songs that would define his sound. While attending Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, he released "I Hate College (Remix)," a reinterpretation of Asher Roth's "I Love College," under the name Sam Adams. The track garnered millions of views on YouTube, establishing Adams as an internet presence and propelling his career. His EP "Boston's Boy" achieved digital chart success, supported by the single "Driving Me Crazy."

Adams released "All Night Longer," which became his most streamed single, accumulating tens of millions of plays on Spotify. He also collaborated with Enrique Iglesias on "Finally Found You," which topped the Billboard Latin Airplay chart and entered the Billboard Hot 100. Adams later released "L.A. Story" featuring Mike Posner, produced by Ryan Tedder. To avoid confusion with a Boston-based brewing company, he adopted the stage name Sammy Adams.

After departing RCA, Adams returned to the indie label 1st Round for his debut LP, "The Long Way," which includes tracks such as "Helluva" featuring Kat Nestel, "Love Again" with Madison Love, and "Electric Appeal" produced by Tiesto. Adams has opened for artists including Drake, Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Mike Posner, Currensy, and Tiesto. He launched the Senioritis Tour, performing at more than 40 colleges across the United States, and participated in the Vans Warped Tour, becoming one of the few rappers to join the multi-date music festival. Adams continues to evolve his sound, incorporating elements of tropical house, dubstep, and trap rap into his music.
